Stop putting so many quotes in your content mix
Most people like quotes of inspiration and motivation but just how much can a person take in one day? And, what’s the benefit to your business if this is what’s constantly being posted off your platforms? Once in a while a really smart quote can make an impact but some brand pages are posting quotes of motivation one after the other.
Sure, if you are in the business of helping others or have a page dedicated to motivational quotes I can understand but a brand in the business of selling services or products shouldn’t be doing that.
Everything should be done in moderation and not be an over kill. Imagine yourself logging onto your favourite social media platform, screening your newsfeed and seeing one quote after the other from the page you recently liked which sells computer equipment? Think for yourself, why did your audience like or follow you in the first place?
For a brand specialising in a specific industry there is so much more content that can be shared that could add immense value to your audience and give lift to your overall social media presence.
Quotes of motivation are not considered high quality content, they will not help you in your social media influence and you will not become a thought leader in your industry. Guaranteed you are going to get some fans and followers blocking your posts or even un-following you if you don’t plan your content properly.
Content is still King so give it the glory it deserves. The web and how people are influenced is by your content and conversation. Research your market so you know what will be appealing and how to engage with them.
Plan your content in advance, add anything relative that provides value which happens to crop up in between and make a strong impression.
Don’t post just anything you can find, post quality and have fun doing it.
